All construction starts with a firm foundation. At CME our foundation was laid by Guy Carmicheal when he left his job in the trailer manufacturing industry to strike out on his own and try his hand in the paving industry by forming what was then Clovis Madera Paving Inc. A half century later we feel he made the right decision and are grateful he did!

 

 

Guy's sons Gary and Mark joined the company soon after graduating high school and have been involved in every facet of the company ever since. It's not always easy being a part of a family business and Guy was fond of reminding the boys that "there are three ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way and MY way." Well needless to say we still do a lot of things Guy's way. 

 

 

After Guy passed away unexpectedly in 1991, Gary and Mark took over the company and formed what is today Clovis Madera Equipment Inc. Guy left behind some pretty big boots to fill but together they got the job done and ran the business together successfully until Gary passed away in 2016. 

 

 

Mark's son Colby joined the team in 2005 after graduating high school and has been involved in all facets of the day to day operations of the family business and currently handles the estimating duties. 

 

 

Today Mark along with his wife Tricia own and operate the company and are grateful for and eager to carry on the legacy of those that came before us and PAVED the way!
